Mission

The Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM) was formed to advance regenerative medicine by representing and supporting the community of companies, academic research institutions, patient advocacy groups, foundations, and other organizations before the Congress, federal agencies and the general public.

Meeting the Unmet Needs

Prior to the formation of the Alliance, there was no advocacy organization operating in Washington DC to specifically represent the interests of regenerative medicine companies, institutions, and researchers.

Enabling Change

One of the primary attributes of the Alliance in this political environment is its close working relationship with many of the leading academic and non-profit research organizations in regenerative medicine along with industry and patients.  The Alliance leverages the political muscle of its membership from various constituencies, stakeholder groups and geographic regions to affect desired outcomes before Congress and the Administration.

Another distinguishing feature of the Alliance is advocacy for increased government support for clinical translational programs in regenerative medicine as well as for increased infrastructure in support of discovery and developmental research and development for regenerative medicine.

Founders

The Alliance was founded in July of 2009 by the Foundation for Regenerative Medicine in collaboration with Adjuvant Global Advisors and Holland & Knight, LLP to bring together key players in the regenerative medicine field.

In addition to the Foundation for Regenerative Medicine, members of the Alliance include university-based and non-profit organizations, patient advocacy groups, leading regenerative medicine life sciences companies and investor organizations.
